Once a year the
Recycling Center offers a Household Hazardous Waste Collection Day for residents
of Rome and Floyd County. We encourage citizens to save their household
hazardous wastes for this collection day to properly dispose of these old and
leftover materials.

Products like - drain cleaners, paints and varnishes, pool chemicals, fertilizers, pesticides - to name just a few. Manufacturers are required by law to list the hazardous ingredients on the product labels along with safe use instructions and proper disposal methods. It is important to always read the labels and follow the precautions for safe use and disposal. |
