MATERIALS ACCEPTED:

Aluminum and Steel Cans Only - NO SCRAP METALS - scrap metals are accepted at the Rome/Floyd Recycling Center

Glass Bottles and Jars Only - NO baking dishes, windshields, mirrors, drinking glasses, plate glass - these are made with different formulas that don't melt at the same temperatures as bottles and jars and can completely ruin the batch during processing - these must go in your trash - there is no recycling outlet in Rome for these materials at this time!

#1 and #2 Plastic Bottles and Jars Only - to identify, look for number in triangle symbol normally located on the bottom of the bottle or jar.

 #1 Plastic - Includes drink bottles (clear, blue, brown and green), food bottles like salad dressing, peanut butter and others. Please remove lids and rinse the container.

#2 Plastic - Includes milk and juice bottles; shampoo, laundry bottles, bleach bottles, health and beauty products, plastic bags as well as others. Please remove lids and rinse the container.

PAPER

Newspaper (inserts OK), junk mail, books and magazines, office paper - all accepted

ABSOLUTELY NO TRASH - ONLY THE ITEMS LISTED ABOVE ARE ACCEPTABLE AT THESE SATELLITE LOCATIONS
